2025-2026 Dress Code

Why is a dress code important?

-It signals to students that they are ready to learn.

-It puts all students on a level playing field not distracted by trends or brand name clothing.

-It helps teachers see the student’s movement and give accurate feedback.

To make our dress code as inclusive as possible, dancers may choose between 2 options-

Option 1-leotard or dance dress, tights, and dance shorts/skirt.

Option 2-solid colored tee shirt (no logos) and black leggings.

Everyone must have the correct footwear for class!

First Steps, Tiny Dancers, and all Ballet Classes-pink or skin tone ballet slippers

Tap Classes-full sole black tap shoes

Jazz+Theater Dance Classes-tan or skin tone slip on jazz shoes

Hip Hop Classes-black full sole sneakers (MUST be shoes that you do NOT wear outside the studio)

Lyrical/Modern/Contemporary/Acro-bare feet

Dancers should wear hair pulled back from their face as much as possible. Buns are required for ballet classes (or pulled back as much as possible if too short for a bun).

Dancers should not wear dangly earrings, bracelets, necklaces or watches while in dance class.
